That girl has been through a lot. I do know from my own experience that cancer does increase the chance of clotting.

Miriam, my heart and prayers go out to your DIL and your family. I had a stroke as well and my hopes for her are for a full and speedy recovery.

Prayers on the way my friend. We never think about things like that happening when we're young.

Prayers for your DIL, Miriam. Strokes are difficult at any age.

Thoughts and prayers with DIL and family for a better than good outcome. I'm a young survivor too, found cancer in me twice at 21 and 22. That was 30 years ago and I'm still grateful for every day.

Miriam, way to young to be going through something like this. Hope she will have a complete recovery.

DH and I got this machine last week and cleaned it up today. It is a Montgomery Wards model 458519 found under the slide plate. This machie is a shuttle, but electric. What our problem is how to thread it. We have tried several different ways and nothing works. So if any one is familar with this machine would you help us? It is a 3/4 machine. Also it is crinkeled. Looked on line for a manual and no luck.

Neat little machine! It would be really unusual for the thread to go thru the first guide twice like it is in the picture., Also can you post a picture of the end of the machine so people can see where the thread should go there too?

My son said Ashleah has been getting texts and email but she is like a little kid and needs things she can hold in her hands. Here is the link - they printed out a card for me and brought it to her room. It is a real nice card. Preferably, use pictures you have from the computer - anything you like. She will be there at least a week. This is going to be hard for her.

Link for the e-card:

Caleb is asking for prayer for peace, strength, emotions, fears, she understands everything but is having a very hard time talking, pray for healing and recovery, pray for symptoms to go away, Her left side is weak. The S sound is hard to say. Motor skills are difficult. They may get her out of bed tomorrow. She sat up for a short time today and she tires very quickly. All in all she could be in a whole lot worse shape.
