I am just beginning my collection of very, vintage machines. The article on the novamontgomery website was very informational for me. I have a lot to learn, but I will get there.

I agree. Undoubtedly I would start to sew on the FW with no bobbin case and be so irritated that I had to go and get the other machine in order to sew. No, I would definitely look and look and look to find a bobbin case.

JoAnn,

I sent you a pm on a FW bobbin case I saw listed on ebay. It's really a good price -- you'd have to bid higher than $16, but that's where it is now! I sent you the link for it, too! For what it's worth!

One of my 301's came with a repro bobbin case that didn't work very well. I finally found an original.

Thanks, Jeanette. I have my SIL on it.

And thanks for the warning, Sharon. I still have my sister's machine until one day next week; so I'll be searching to see what I can come up with. What was your problem with the after market version. I have been at the point a time or two of just going ahead and ordering one and trying it out; but there is a real one on ebay that I am watching right now.

I read Nova Montgomery's article and she tells how one on the bobbin cases works with either type, but I never aw where she let use know which one! Is it the one she has pictured?
