glow in the dark quilting thread

I used Kreinik on sections of a whole cloth quilt with a peacock as the center motif.
You had to go in a windowless room and turn off the lights to see it. It really wasn't worth the effort.
This has been 15 or so years ago, so manufacturing may have changed some, but it was also very difficult to work with, it shreadded very quickly so I used 12" threads cuts.
Would I do it again. Maybe, because I like to add things to my quilts most people would never notice.
Probably not because if you will think of the radium dial clocks and watches, they don't glow very long so what is the point.
I've also used glow in the dark acrylic paints on quilts, same results. It takes a lot of light to get the product to glow and when you get in the dark it fades very quickly.

I've used the Marathon brand. It sewed well, but as all glow in the dark stuff you have to expose it to a bright light, then it only glows for about 10-15 min. The kids thought it was great.

I found Coats and Clarks has the best gitd thread. I was working on a quilt in my kitchen area one afternoon. Left it out overnight and went into kitchen to get something later that night hours later. Came into the room before turning on light and you could see where I had stitched, ALONG with the thread path through my machine! Really cool!!
