I have always had great success with CT. I'm glad they came through for you on your kit "issue."

I love CT and have never had a problem with their products, but I do check each order when I get it, except for the last one. I have been gone from home a couple of weeks and I have received the last I got from them and am very anxious to check it out. I don't like waiting too long to look at the order in case something is wrong with it. I don't know what their time limit is on making corrections on orders. Wow I just realized what a pessimist I am. LOL

I like CT for several reasons, use their thread, tried using some very expensive thread and could not get the bottom tension right so put CT thread in the bobbin and walla, came out great. I also buy their kits. Bought a full-size kit of 30s fabrics and was able to get two lap sized quilts and a third baby quilt with enough fabric left over for a piano key border. I also received the wrong material and when I contacted them they sent me the correct fabric with extra yardage. Said to keep what I had. Love Connecting Threads for their products and customer service!

Ordered a quilt kit on sale, the ladies sewing, Handmade from the heart, and when it came the panel with the ladies and old sewing machines was not in the bag. Called and went through the contents while on phone and when it was not there, got the kit for free, that was yards of material, some big (1 1/2yd or more) and smaller pcs. Now Annies has some of the panels in their catalog, so am going to order from them to get some panels. They were great, and I like the thread.

Most fabrics are produced in China. I know that Robert Kaufman, a majority of their fabrics are made in Japan. We closed down so many cotton mills it will take decades for fabrics to be once again produced in the USA.

I'm thinking that it is Joann that has fabric made in USA, not Connecting Threads. I called them awhile back and JA confirmed that the new lines ARE made in USA, down south as I remember. Connecting Threads has no references to "made in USA or America" as far as I can tell. Both customer services are available by phone. Email seems so cumbersome some times.

I checked on Joann's website. They have 12 fabrics made in the USA. There is one solid available in several colors and the rest are patriotic fabrics. So if you're making a QOV you're all set.

CT is a quality company. I've done business with them for years and have never been disappointed. That is hard to say about many companies these days.

American made brands, sold at a number of places, including Nancy's notions, Handcock's of Pacducah for two. and they have a good color selection of solid colors, grown, made and dyed etc in the USA. I got to very pretty pieces of floral made in USA material at JoAnne's.
