Yip -- that's what I'd do... It's GORGEOUS!

I would definitely do a small light solid border and then you could do any type of border after that. I think you need the solid to set the center log cabin off and make it pop.

I've been adding sort of a racing stripe on my borders. On yours as a suggestion only a 2-3" border in the background fabric, then a 1.5" stripe in a color you want to stand ut and then finish off with a larger background border. Been doing this for my last couple quilts and really like the look. Plus for those quilts that just need a little more size added to them, this works..........at least for me it did.

Love the colors in your quilt, so bright and cheerful. Put on the sunglasses...:-)

Wow, great quilt. I vote for white border. Pin some white fabric down at least one side, should give you your answer on how to proceed.

I like the idea of a small white border to stop the eye. I would add another border to tie in the backing. This would depend on who you are giving it to and what they prefer. (I think a blue backing and blue border to match the medium dark blue in the logs would be smashing!)

I also agree. I would sew a narrow border of the white fabric you used and then try a piano keyboard. If that doesn't look good, then try one of the darker blues. I don't want anyone to take offense but the binding is the part of the quilt that gets the most abuse so I would never use white binding. It will constantly look dirty all the time.

Add another vote to the White Inner Border followed by that beautiful bright blue (could be border or binding -- or flange). Really striking! I just love this quilt!

I also think the white border would be a great idea, and would then add one from one of your lovely bright colors, or use that as the binding, if not both.

I would do a white border. Love your quilt - colors are so cheery! Makes me happy to look at it.
