Extemely cute one and really nice for a children's room but I want a more traditional look I think.

It totally depends on the look you want. Take a look at a neighborhood that looks very nice to you. What do most of the houses look like, their color schemes? victorian, stucco, suburbian ?? so much easier to work on a quilt that is appealing to you.
