Shouldn't advertising be related to why we are here in the first place... to learn about new techniques and products, see inspiring ideas. Doesn't the board have any say about what the ads are going to be before they sell the space?
the first thing i do when page opens is cancel the ads. when i opened this thread i was a little confised ..?? no 'x' to cancel. so thanks for the first morning chuckle at my sleepy brain

I've never seen that ad either but I was getting lots of ads and, as another board member suggested, I installed an ad blocker. Solved the problem for the most part.

Yes, I've seen that one a number of times...along with the extremely overweight woman who had a miraculous weight loss! I read quilting board on my iPad and don't know how to block them .......anyone here know?

I use Ad Blocker & don't have any ads on this sight. Fave quilts I will get some but they are usually quilt/sewing related.

Go to the app store and get a free ad blocker. Once it is installed go into settings and turn it on. That stopped the ads on my iPad.
