Jaba and Dotty,
I think I was partnered up with both of you this month too...only I didn't let our hostess or you know.
Of course I'm teasing.
But I'm not kidding when I say Jaba those mug rugs are too cute! That fabric you fussy cut for the middle is adorable.
And Dotty, you do beautiful beautiful embroidery!
Sewbizgirl,
While there are specific redwork patterns, being a gal who's loved doing hand embroidery for years, I often just use a regular embroidery pattern for my redwork. Just use only red thread, and tada! you have redwork.
I also Google free coloring book pages, or free vintage embroidery patterns, and there are tons of them. I can often enlarge them on my tablet or laptop enough where I take a piece of copy paper and a regular pencil and just lightly trace the pattern straight off the screen. I used to make copies with my copier, but 1 day it dawned on me why not just lightly trace it and save my copier ink??
Regards all,
Kif

Pretty mug rugs. I love red and blue embroidery .Jaba where did you get that fabric. Got my mug rug started. Need to put the binding on. Bought a new steam iron at a thrift store yesterday. Paid only 3.98 for a T-fal ultra glide. It sales for 43.00 dollars in a retail store. Works great.
