you did a great job and yes I have used this technique for years and depending quilting design size etc. I do block at a time , 1/4 or half I recently finished a queen size on my Bernina by doing half at a time but I used the serpentine stitch in the ditch I wish I could post but have never figured out how to post pictures here sorry

You have inspired me. My mother did it several years ago and it seemed wonky. Nothing wonky about yours. Any secrets to getting everything lined up? That is a beautiful example of quilting.
