No blocks arrived today. And, I didn't have any better of a time checking with the PO either. Seriously, I think tracking is a joke. Until they show up somewhere, they have no idea.
But, I have the situation under control. And, K-Roll will receive an equal number of blocks that she sent. I'm doing this because, she worked very hard on her blocks and she had a tracking number and everything. I want you /her to have a positive experience in the block exchange. You can just never tell what will happen. I still have hope that they might arrive. I'm going to give it just a bit more time.

oh, what a hassle for you Judith, so sorry this has happened.
Spoke to a really nice woman @ USPS customer service who gave me a case#.
I believe she will do all she can...she asked me to describe the contents and when I did she said she was so sorry, asked me what they were for, etc. Then said her mother had passed away 2 years ago and a friend had made her a quilt out of her mother's dresses, and blouses, and she herself had made fabric photo-transfers of old photos to be included in the quilt. She said it was her most treasured item. I think we have an ally!
Most importantly, this snafu will not deter me from participating in swaps when I can. I have learned so much. QB has been very very good to me.

Graceful Ann: you surely are. Thank you, hope it becomes a moot point and they get delivered.
Today I will send good thoughts out to the hardworking postal workers. I've worked in large agencies, and know what a grind it can be.

For the swappers that are new to putting these quilts of different size blocks together: Can I offer a few suggestions.
When you receive your blocks back, measure them. Make sure they are the correct size. We all try. But, sometimes they are just not perfect.
Four 6 1/2" blocks will link together great to make a 12 1/2" block.
For the 9 1/2" block, I would suggest bordering it with a 2 1/2" strip. (Trim to a 12 1/2" size.) Or, a 3 1/2" x 9 1/2" (side) and a 3 1/2" x 12 1/2" (top) added to the 9 1/2" will bring you to a 12 1/2" square size as well. I know I was really lost for awhile till I figured out what played well and how they fit together. I have a 12 1/2" square that I use to trim my larger blocks. Be careful. You can loose your points. And, my long ruler is 6 1/2" wide. Makes it great for trimming the small blocks.
A lot of times, you sometimes need only a 1/2" on a block. I still border it. A lot of times the addition is in the seam allowance. But, it makes a big difference on how the blocks will come together.
And, just remember, when all the blocks fit together, It's all going to look great! Small things like loosing a bit of a point aren't really going to show. (Unless your entering in a quilt show.)
I hope this helps. If anyone else has suggestions, Please share. I'm always open to new ideas.

K-Roll, nothing came in today. It was strictly junk mail day.
All blocks are going out on Friday. Including the one's I have for you K-Roll.
Deecee, I'll be in touch when I have mailing info for you.

Ladies, can I get you all to pm your address, K-Rolls blocks to make it too me. Of course, lol, after I sent the blocks out. But, that's okay, I will just send you her blocks separately. They are fun and will make a nice addition to your quilts.
Most of you should be seeing your blocks around Monday. There are a couple that they will be a little later.
