    Thank you to everyone in the thread. Great suggestions I’ll be looking into. Hopefully, I’ll be able to post a picture of the completed quilt by the end of the year.

    A high per cent of white on white has the plastic applied to make the pattern. The pattern is dense to the needle but feels like fabric. Unless the pattern is woven it is applied.

    I use to use white on white a lot. It had some rubbery looking designs. I don't remember having any problems sewing with it. It is all gone now and haven't bought anymore.

    What stitch length are you using?

    The picture looks like a smaller stitch length. You might try a Top Stitch needle or a Micro-Tex needle to see if that helps. Good luck!

    I have been told that the white that is on the white is paint. It is hard to stitch through paint, especially in hand quiltingg
