lori had added a note in my package and said she uses them to put on the bobbins to keep thread in place....i am going to fill some bobbins and try it out......always in the market for new ways to make my sewing easier!!!! gina
I use the M&M tubes after the kids get done eating the candy. The bobbins fit in really well and keeps the thread from unraveling. The long tube will hold 15 and the smaller ones hold 8 bobbins.
Cool idea, thanks for sharing that. :)

I read this somewhere and I liked the idea. so I have a small plastic bin. I put the filled bobbins in the tubes and throw the empty bobbins in the bin beside them. I fill about 30 bobbins at a time. I hate having to stop and refill a bobbin so I do a bunch at one time and have them ready.

Ok bench sitters I made us a nice big salad, with homemade dressing and a big piece of crusty bread with a tall glass of iced tea. Any takers?

I love the M and M tube idea.

I have grands here every weekend and they always have to have a trip up to Kramer's which is our local gas/groc and is only a block from my house. Several of them buy those mini M&Ms and so I get lots of tubes that way! LOL

I too am on the bench and would love to join you. I just hope the homemade dressing isn't fat free... I want all the good stuff. The mailman came and went today with no squishy for me :( . Just so my SP knows, I am leaving for the wendy city Monday morning and won't be home until Thursday, so if mine comes during that time, I won't be thanking them until I get back. Just didn't want you wondering if I got it or not.

Hey, how about if I make and blackberry pie and bring that and some homemade ice cream to the bench? It is in the 80's here today, so that sounds good to me.

Hi Dee!!! About the bobbin keepers. I like to put the bobins in my empty prescription bottles. They are a bright yellow color. My pharmacy is switching over to a triangle shap amber color. They are mostly giving ones that you could fit a 50 cent piece in.way too big. I like to put all white in a couple and tan in a couple black etc. then I print out some large circles with the matching color and cut them out and stick them to the tops of the bottles. The bottles then go in a small tin box I got at christmas. Just another way of doing things. I liked the m&m bottles too.Mary
