    This is similar to one that I make. We call it Dad's Fruit Salad. I like taking it to potlucks because the pudding thickens the juice and doesn't run all over the plate! I use pineapple tidbits and fruitcocktail and drain a can of mandarin oranges. Lots of options for this salad and it looks pretty too. I have also taken it to camping potlucks because if everything is chilled all I have to do is open cans and mix!

    what is the vanilla instant pudding mix? We do not have that over here in the UK so what is it, and what can we use instead of it please?

    instead of the pudding mix, i drain the fruit, and use a jar of baby food bananas (or two, depending oh how much fruit is there) as the "binder". works great, and you can lick out the jar... i'm going to try the pudding mix, next time. sounds great!
