I'm with you Julie 8. QVC Breezies are the best.
I don't even notice the under wires. A "fitting specialist"
once told me that without underwires, one never finds the
support needed.

I am large breasted and swear by Bali minimizer, worn them for (OMG!) 40 years!

WTheck is an H???

it means I have more boob than backside the fitting lady said..
what it really means is that I will NEVER find a bra to fit me really well...all the ones they get here "divide" the girls..I tried to tell the lady they are siamese twins and love togetherness..she said NO, they need to be divided...why...she never answered...great...
we only have Dillards here that sometimes will get in a bra to fit me...I fell in love with one...but at $85 I had to say NO....sigh
go online and get a catalogue from Just My Size. you'll find that size. rule of thumb - the smallest size band you can manage to hook and still breathe and the largest size cup you can fill without spilling over.
in a pinch, you can wear a 38 and make a small tuck on each side of the band under the arm. an underwire will give lift and help distribute the weight. just think of the golden gate bridge. the ones without underwires kind of droop down for large sizes and the straps have to do all the heavy lifting, leaving grooves in your shoulders. in addition to underwires, you should consider padding out the straps for comfort. i line the underwires with soft knitted fabric - 2 layers, to prevent digging.

I love my Breezies. The "girls" are where they should be but the rest of me is sagging. Sigh!! Gravity.

[quote=Peckish]I hate underwires. Hate, hate, hate them. My fave bra is from Lane Bryant, I've been wearing them for about 10 years now. When they get old, they start riding up in the back and that's how I know it's time to get new ones!

(the picture is kind of weird - the bra on the model looks WAY more saggy than it looks in real life.)

This is the one I wear, except not in canary yellow! They are usually on sale, buy one get half off the second one. I have also gotten discontinued colors very cheap at my local store. Not perfect, but the best I can find for now.

36 DD is the same as 36 E. the biggest size doesn't translate to an H.

this appears to be made like a sports bra. i don't see any support along the sides or bottom. i think that someone with a heavy bust would really droop to their waist.
