Love the one with the mice and the one with the kitty fabric. I too have a ton of kitty fabric. I did not paper piece mine. That technique still confuses me. It is a lot of work but I will keep trying. I got frustrated with this one and went back to just piecing it together the old fashion way. LOL.

Thank You Jenn...........the pattern I used for the other two blocks is called a D9P. That's a Disappearing Nine Patch & it is very easy to find instruction's for. I believe that I saw some, just the other day, under Tutorial's. Check it out when you can. Good Luck!!

I added borders to make the block larger, and of course being math-compromised () I ended up with it too big--it's about 14" square. I will deal with that later, can always trim it down.

Without further ado, my kitty cat block.

The background is a light pink print, which doesn't show up great in the picture.
I love the idea of the heart border. Nickylsf really like the heart candy you used. That is really cute. All the blocks I have seen are great. Man (or woman) are these blocks creative. You all are very good. When I get around to doing mine hope they are half as good as the ones I have seen. BrendaK

I had a gray persian cat when I was young(long time ago lol), so I used gray and I should have used a lighter background. So I decided to add the red stitching. Also the scrap blocks reminded me of so many of the quilts shown on this site have cats or dogs on the quilts, known as inspectors, so my cats are nestled in my quilts. I love all the blocks and the comments. Sulabug you must be on your computer all day and night lol. You are so sweet with you comments as so many of the others are too. This is a fantastic BOM for 2012.

BettyB, I love your scrappy cats. Yellow and gray are one of my favorite color combinations, actually yellow with about anything, and the red stitching really sets it off. Most of all I like the idea of your past quilt inspector nestled in your quilt.

BettyB..........I just LOVE your quilt inspector's, they are just darling!! What a teriffic idea to make them look like they are sitting in amongst your quilts. It's ideas like this that make these BOM projects so much fun. We are so glad that you are having fun with all the rest of us!! Keep up the great work & thank you for sharing today.
