I have to agree, it works for me like nothing else ever has! It takes me away & I can forget about everything else, for a little while anyway. But why is it, if I am in my studio, my DH always seem to magically appear, for one reason or another.....

It is also one of my happy places. I also enjoy knitting, crocheting and reading. They all take me away from the problems and chores of daily life.

I so totally agree, but when is there ever "nothing else to do?"

Although I have other hobbies, quilting is my happy place. I live alone and luckily can quilt all the time...but....I really feel kind of disappointed when a friend or relative asks me to do something and, not wanting to hurt their feelings, I have to put the work down or walk away from the sewing machine. It's a sickness, I think, isn't it? Or just a "good addiction".
