I have made the "Dollar General" mix, the vit. E and baby lotion one, with Vaseline. It is good, but recently, I have switched to plain ol' olive oil. I put light olive oil in a small spray bottle, use it as soon as I dry off from the shower. It uses very little and my skin feels ever so much happier. I have excessively dry skin and shed drifts of skin everywere I sit for very long, so this solution has been great for me. No more digging and scratching all the time either. In the past, I have dug holes in my skin.

Also, if the smell does not bother, Vicks Vaporub on the feet at bedtime, and a pair of not-elastic white socks will help big time. Takes a few days (or nights), not a quick fix.

I have the same problem. Gold Bond has a product that is called Gold Bond Ultimate healing - foot therapy cream"....it's a petroleum (vaseline) based product and in my opinion, works much better than just vaseline. I use it every night and the callouses, dryness is gone. I found it in the area of the store that has Dr. Scholles foot stuff.

The heel Tastic even works on rough elbows, I go around barefoot all the time, but if you wear socks to bed with this, in no time at all it helps, but you have to keep doing it. Also, has not stained the sheets if I dont wear socks. J

The first post mentioned Renew. It is a product made by Melaleuca, and has amazing healing properties. I cleared up my husband's psoriasis when even expensive ointments wouldnt. I think you can order it online if you don't know anyone who sells it.

Vaseline is made from petroleum, crude oil. Putting it on your skin to be absorbed is like drinking or eating it. Sorry, not for me. I cannot think this to be healthy.
