NO you do not have a problem. Joann's is your "Cheers" where everyone knows your name like everyone knew Norm's name. I have a Walmart close to my home and the people in the garden section know me, my daughter and my boyfriend by name. So I know what you mean.

I purchase very little fabric, because I live on a fixed income. I do like to look a lot, so all of the employees at Hancock's and JoAnns and the LQS know me. It is only a problem if you can't afford to purchase what you take home with you.

No problem. You are good at what you do. You have contacts. It's OK. As long as you can still close the doors on the fabric rooms....I thought that was pretty good. We've all got the same love in life. It's what keeps us sane.

I think it would be a problem if they knew your dh too.

(Our JoAnn's is close to where my dh works and he has had to go in many times for a zipper, or thread, batting, or this or that. Poor fellow! He says, "Part of the job when you are married to a quilter." )

I want to go where eveybody calls my name! this just shows that they like you and you are a valued customer. Better than at our LQS that is 45 miles away. they ignore anyone who walks into the store and acts like it is a chore to get up and wait on them. I hate going in there. I feel about as welcome as a wart on the end of a nose.

It's good to start the day with a chuckle. Reassuring to know I don't have a problem, either!

Regular Quilt shops know me and a few clerks in JoAnn's as I don't go there as much and there only seem to be 2 that know me. Fortunately, I have a large stash so don't have to go often and the Reg. Quilt shops have known me since they have been opened. Nice to see those friendly people and always have time to help. People that shop at LQS know we do have questions from time to time. Just don't ignore me or I will seldom go back to that shop.
