Do I have a problem
#52
This has been a wonderful read today. Again, for the third time in a week, I have to go to the fabric store and buy some more. My quest is to finish all my UFOs so only buying what I need to finish quilts. The owner is holding a fabric sale just for me today. Now that is knowing your name. Most of the quilt shops where I am at know me by name or at least face. I was purchasing fabric to finish a quilt and the clerk commented that I am actually using the colors that suit me the best, bold. Not long ago when doing pastels, the clerks just laughed at me because I was going so far outside my realm.
There is no way you have a fabric buying problem when the clerks know you, it just tells them that you love your hobby!

[QUOTE=Lori S;5098122]It could be a symptom... Can you identify which fabric came in in the last week?? If so you may have a problem. Do the clerks also know how much to cut before you tell them? You may have a problem.. Do they know to have a stock boy ready to assist you to your car because you can't push the heavy overloaded cart... You may have a problem. Doyou look at the books and find it hard to find one you don't already own.... You may have a problem.
But the biggest question can you still close the door to your sewing room?[/QUOTE
I'm in big trouble, my mother helps me bring it all to the car, to make matters worse, she helps me find the good, nice colors and on sale fabric. with the understanding that she can SHOP at my house anytime she wants. I'm lucky enough to have a sewing room, she has a sewing area, technically I have more room. The problem isn't closing the door, it's getting in

No problem, I'm not sure if they know my name but I know most of theirs and they always smile when I come in. Seeing them is like seeing my friends, well they are my friends I guess. I spend more time with them sometimes then my "real" friends.
