I received a block from Hope but didn't say what your screen name is. I wished you had contacted me to see what block I wanted. I don't know what block you want.

I received my block today from Cajunbear. Thank you! I love it. I moved semi-recently and packed up all my blocks. I need to finish npacking and lay them all out together. Thanks for a great swap.

LADIES, LADIES! I really dislike doing this, but other swaps do it, so here goes. IF you DO NOT contact your partner(s) within a week of starting the swap, OR, let me know if you're out of town or dead, then I will have no other choice than to remove you from the swap! I know Summer is a busy season, but if you want in a swap, then follow the rules! You MUST let me know what your intentions are, too many are 'left holding the bag' and not receiving blocks or communication. IF you take time to join a swap, then keep in touch. I've said this over and over, but somewhere along the line, not all are reading it! You signed up for the swap, your duty is to abide by the rules and do the swap...If you don't get on the computer 'all that much', then you don't need to be in a swap. I've sent PM's to those that need to respond and it's been over a week now and no word!

I'm sorry this sounds a little rough, but I've had several ladies that have had problems lately, hearing from their partners, which leaves them without a block for that month, and sometimes I don't have anyone else available to swap with them - I've stepped in a lot, but can't do it all the time.. SO, bottom line is: IF YOU ARE GOING TO SIGN UP FOR THE SWAP, THEN DO IT. (I'm not yelling, yet, just making a point)

Here are the rules for those of you who haven't seen them:

    1. You will receive a swap name, and it is up to you to confer with your partner for theme and address. You will have ONE month to make one block for that person and send it to them. The blocks must be 100% prewashed cotton, 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" unfinished (12" when sewn into a quilt). You can make them in any fashion - pieced, appliqued, paper-pieced, embroidered, other methods - as long as you follow your swap partner's specifications to the best of your ability so their project can be unified. Please think carefully about your pattern and choice of fabrics, as some are not able to get out and purchase speciality items.

If blocks do not fit the criteria of 12 1/2" unfinished, they will be returned to the sender. Sorry to be so direct but the idea is to receive nicely finished blocks.

Again, this is supposed to be a fun swap, so everyone have fun. Please contact me if you have any questions, or would like to join, we always welcome new quilters.
