I never break stitches. Only one piece actually has ink on it. All the subsequent pieces are marked by running them all thru my domestic. The pattern is actually a perforated copy. So after you've sew it, Traced the perforated line its doubly perforated and tears very nicely. I've used all sorts of paper, even copy paper. My decisions are usually based on what do I have available right now. The follow up involeves looking for tiny bits left behind and removing them with tweezers. Hope that helps.

How smart...and an added bonus is to improve the muscle memory on that design.

Great idea, I haven’t tried FMQ yet but think I might be able to use this paper method.
