3 cats, all new to me this year; 5 furkids before them. Zoe Zinaida is 7, WiDget (Wolverine in Disguise) the Terrorist is 1. Had to get him a buddy because Zoe avoids everyone, so adopted Katja Kutiepie Twinkletoe TinyTigress, now 7 1/2 months, who answers to Katja if there's food involved. All 8 were rescues--some found in my yard, the rest either from a shelter or taken in to keep them from going to the pound.
All are indoors only, and well loved. The two kittens LOVE my new cutting table, aka cat playground, and dash in the room ahead of me as soon as I turn the light on. Zoe was so traumatized by previous neglect that she cowered in the corner of the bathtub for her first two weeks here, but now appears for meals--tonight even finding me at the sewing machine to remind me dinner was late--and snuggles with me for naps and nights. She's come a long way, baby, in her 4 months here.
Also have 3 grandcats and 5 granddogs, two of whom I get to dogsit on occasion; the others I have to fly to visit. Though not a cat person until I had my heart stolen by one of the litter of 7 born in my backyard 21 years ago, I soon became one, fur life. (That now extends to cat-print fabrics, of course.) The two granddogters who get so excited when I visit have made me into a dog person, too. (Including, what else, dog themed fabric.)

A day late and dollar short as the olde saying goes. Yes, we have adopted seven, the eighth adopted us. One tuxedo tom went over to the neighbor's and their yellow cat came over to our house. Cats rule here.

We don't have any pets, per say, up here in the mountains, but every one of the mule deer that come onto the property have names...Miss Molly, Big Mama, Little Buck, Sis, and many more! We so enjoy watching them!!
