Ah drats, wish you'd put in a link. I'll go try a search, but I'm no good at searches so I won't hold my breath.

But there is still something going on with it so I thought that hosing out the stuff under the numbered cap might flush out anything that could be hanging it up. So I wrapped the machine in a work rag so the break clean would'nt get into too much of it and flushed it out. It's dried over night now so I'll try it today and see what happens.

Thanks for the explanation as I was picturing a Singer type tension. Again, thanks for the explanation and hoping it works for you.

Is there a vintage attachments separate thread? I have an odd one for a 66-3 that i'd like to identify. Odd as in I've not seen it before.

Yep, that's the one I found. I've decided to forgo buying anything else for this machine. It has ceased cooperating and I've spent as much time working on it as I'm going to. I've shelved it for now. Will decide it's fate at a later date.

Miriam, thanks. I had thought there was a whole thread devoted to attachments and not just the one. Oh well, I'll look through the older manuals for some help and then post it on here.
FYI: Looked through some older manuals and found out it's a tucker. The instruction booklet looks exactly the same as the attachment I have so will need to print off manual before I give the machine to the charity auction. Will post a picture later.
