    Don't feel guilty about anything quilty!!! LOL!! Seriously, I traded in my Elna to buy a new Janome 20 years ago and am still regretting it!! I loved my Janome, but it would have been great to have 2 machines. I recently bought a Horizon and kept my old Janome. My son is learning how to quilt and we can both sew at the same time.

    I think you will find the Janome 6500 a little heavy to carry back & forth to class. I would keep a light weight for that purpose.
