No, I'm pretty sure it is cranky people. Seems to be a mean spirit floating around here lately. She has a right to ask, if you don't like the question, just don't answer, don't peck her to death.

I thought it was just me, reading some of the comments as semi-nasty. Sounds like a good question to me and I didn't realize her font/color represented yelling in red ink until someone mentioned it. I thought the red was cheery. Let's all take a deep breath and enjoy a good day.

Lmiller, thank you so much - that's the kindest thing anyone has ever said to me here.

Be a Quilter, I totally agree with you.

BeAQuilter ... a little of pot calling the kettle black!

SundaKoyal ... BTW Thanks to the auto-notice I read your original post, before you edited it out. Not classy at all! Worse than the accusations being lobbed. Glad you re-thought and changed it.

It's not that important to me; however, I often would like to know just to decide whether I want to make it and where it would work.

Wow, after reading the posts on this thread, I was taken aback. I'm on here to learn & hopefully teach, not to read snarky remarks. IMHO.

I hadn't read all the comments before I gave my first reply. It does seem that there are snotty remarks to her question; and I agree with whoever said, if you don't like the question, just don't answer. Don't criticize her. That's what makes some people afraid to ask questions or make suggestions.

Matraina, you are so right. People should be able to feel free to ask questions; that is how we learn.

Of course it matters.THe complexity of a quilt could limit you if your need to make a large size.and need to make a decision but you can always ask the person whose quilt really intrigues you for the measurements.I helped one lady on one of my large quilts. When I have posted I state the size king or queen not the measurements.
