orangemom, I found the design on Wayne Kollinger's site. He is a master at taking traditional blocks and arranging them in a unique fashion. This is one of his ideas using the 9 patch and friendship star. The border is my own take on alternating blocks.

humility block= one backwards star. Once you see it, you can't unsee it ;-)

Your quilt is beautiful, and I love the pattern. I thought you were saying the name of the pattern was humility block. LOL...

I almost didn't see it. And, I was really looking for it. I don't think I'd ever tell anyone. I seriously doubt anyone would see what your talking about. I had to chuckle. It's truly a beautiful quilt. I love how simple blocks can look so complex with the different settings and beautiful quilting. I'd say it's a job well done.
