With DH's magical record keeping of our money I found the info of mine bought it in 1998 for $65. No markings on ruler at all. Plain wood. Looks just like the Slidelock with the ball grips on the bottom The receipt says ordered from Clothilde manufactured in Australia. It does not look like the Rule Steady that is sold now from Keep Quilting in Australia. I don't think anything is new, just reinvented. LOL
