They weren't really 'colour choices!!!' I just used what I had - realised I had a lot of green and pink and it became a theme then!!!

But I really appreciate the kind words!!!

Your beautiful quilt is a great lesson for me in patience. I'm at the early stage of quilting where I look for a pattern that I can finish in 1 or 2 months. Sewing hundreds of hexagons together by hand would overwhelm me, but I love dreaming about doing it! Gives me a feeling of peace - as if I'm in it for the long haul. Thanks for sharing your quilt; it's an inspiration.

What a stunning quilt! I am an avid english paper piecer, working on my 3rd GFG, but none of them compare with yours. It's beautiful.

I think it is OK to take years to finish a project - sometimes I would only get the quilt out and make half a dozen rossettes - maybe a week - or two.

One thing I am doing with this next one is I picked out the coulourways for a few rossettes at a time and bagged them up with the cut papers in small food bags - then I could grab one or two for long train journeys Or (when I worked in a commercial setting) business trips with nights in hotels. etc.

    Works for me!

May I ask what size hexagon papers you use? I have only used 1 inch. Would like to try maybe 1.5. Think it may look "clunky" I'll have to try it. Thank you. Phyllis
