Love to see everyone's sewing rooms. Always get such good ideas.

What wonderful way to start the New Year, which is just around the corner once we finish with the crrent mad dash! My sewing studio is in a partially-finished part of our basement, but since I am in the process of decluttering and getting the rest of it refinished, I'm not working in there very much. I am very much looking forward to having it all done after the holidays so I can get started on all the things I have planned. I do have a great dedicated space, but since I have to share it with the cats I cannot just leave things out too much. Also, I use the cutting table my DH made for folding clothes, gift wrapping, as well as cutting. Right now it's the gift wrapping center, at least until I get the shopping and wrapping all done. Can't wait.

Sounds charming, and there is absolutely nothing like a space all your own. I absolutely think repurposing old items is such an opportunity to get creative. E N J O Y !!!! :D

You will have so much fun, both in decorating and in having your own space.

Donna we are so blessed, I too converted my daughter's bedroom into my sewing room after she married. I have spent so much time in that room. Sometimes I just go in there and look at my magazines and keep saying Oh, I can make that, that and that.
But of course I don't think it is as organized as yours is going to be. Your blessed to have somebody to do all for you.

Enjoy it my dear.. :D

I am so very proud for you!! That is a very nice story for the Holiday Season, and I know you will get to do lots of fun sewing and quilting in your new room.
Can't wait to see pictures: when you get it set up, and then again after you have been sewing for a while! If you are like me, it will be neat at first, and then cozily messy after a while!!

I see the makings of what we call "Come Help Mom" parties. My daughter and a few friends come down to help, and after everyone has worked so hard, I have some kind of relaxing dinner food, (anything from Taco Bell, to home made soups served in big mugs. (It is nice especially in the winter, with hot cocoa mugs also.) Nice to sit and catch up on the everyday stuff.

When my daughter and her friends come to 'help out', I am not much help, but I can be the "gofer" and have one of her favorite meals ready, when they are done.

I just love it when my house is full of young people and the noise they bring, almost as much as I love the return of quiet when they return home.

*And you, with a sewing room, (to fill) in the bargain, sounds like heaven in the making! Have fun. :-)
