Congratulations Donna! My husband and I did the same thing early last summer. We stripped a room that 3 different sons had used. You should have seen the poster pin holes we had to Dap and sand....continuously for days! Seemed like we covered all we could see, and then there were hundreds more! I think here are still some we missed!

Some new paint, and fresh baseboards, plus a snap together laminate floor and the room looks great.

Happy sewing!

My sister is the only one that comes down She can sleep in the spare bedroom and my neice can have the couch or recliner. I am keeping my sewing room besides they only stay a few days. I am a happy camper now

Congratulations TN Donna! Sounds like you really have a plan in motion. Good luck.

When our children left the nest, we took beds down and converted their bedrooms into a sewing room and a "computer" room. When they visit, there is a daybed in the computer room or an inflatable mattress that can be used for sleeping.... and of course the sofa and loveseat in the living room.

I recently got a room only for sewing and I know that you will be as happy as I am. My son painted and got carpeting for me and moved all the sewing stuff into its new quarters.I have always shared the sewing with office stuff and am enjoying the freedom of only sewing. It is so good.
