I like this Floribunda block really well and I think I want to make a second quilt for my mother-in-law with this pattern. She loves flowers. I'm having fun with it. Every block I cut I can't wait to finish sewing to see how it turns out! :-)

I finished the Scrappy Trips top, but still have to quilt it. But I liked it so much that I've started a second one!

I think I'll have to really like the next swap suggestion in order to join right now because I've got too many WIPs. The shadow box idea is cute, but I'm not keen on it.

Love the idea and the black/white/yellow theme. I've got a bunch of squares cut already at 8 1/2 inches so I'll be watching this one from the sidelines. My shadows will be either kona black or a very dark grey with a snow background - I think. Haven't made up my mind. Maybe I'll have time to make mine alongside your group. Cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with!

It's the Shadow Box quilt block, sometimes called Shadow Square or Illusion block (if you follow MSQC). I'm thinking a 12 1/2" unfinished block unless the group would prefer a smaller block at 7 1/2" unfinished. Also thinking of going with the yellow/grey/black/white combo. Any print having that kind of color combo would work; solid black & solid white for the rest of the block. Thoughts??

I like the illusion block and it makes a beautiful quilt. Just not sure I'm "in the mood" for another yellow one. Any other color we could go with??

I have black white yellow blocks on my wall of shame right now. I guess I could incorporte these blocks into that quilt and get another bed quilt out of it like I did with the Christmas quilt. I certainly have the colors.

I finished the 5 sets and will get them to the PO as soon as the snow plow comes down our road. I do like the way these blocks have turned out, wish I could post a picture for all of you.

I've still got 3 sets to make. I really love this block and have been making duplicates so I can make a large quilt from them and from the swap.
I am going to have to refrain from joining the next swap. I really like the block and if it is ok, I would like to follow along even if I am not participating.

Well after moderating the RAB #2 group, I relaxed all of DEC. LOL. I forgot about this group. So I will be making my blocks over the next few days. I love what I have seen so far. I also like the shadow box for the next one. Lazy me better get up and start sewing. LOL. Stay tuned folks for some updates from me.
