I went to Joanne's on Friday. Wanted the Ottlite on sale--got two of them and some fat quarters. Store didn't seem too crowded and everyone was polite.

A headache! I'll go back later. I was only after thread & didn't want to stand in line, as I think I have enough to finish my project.

I went this morning (Saturday) arriving about 8 a.m. There were some people there, not a crowd, I was alone at the cutting table and while my fabric was being cut several people came along so I heard numbers called up to 4. When we left 90 minutes later there was a small line at the cutting table, 2 people ahead of me at checkout. I bought a few things I needed, yes really needed, and a few I just wanted. Love the Quilt-as-you-Go tote to carry a WOP with one side set up as a measuring and ironing board, on sale for $25 plus 25% off. HAD to have one. Also found a book that really had some different things so I bought that. The weather was beautiful and it was worth getting up early and the half hour drive.

I did my shipping online since they are offering free shipping. No waiting in line at the cutting table or to pay!! Got my 2 yards of flannel I wanted for covering one of my new design walls. Omnigrip rulers were 50% off so I am replacing some of my worn ones. That is the trouble with the Omnigrip, the green stuff on the back that prevents slippage does eventually wear off !!

i'm trying to behave myself on my fabric buying moratorium....and I managed yesterday...but did use my 50% off to buy my grand-daughter the knitting loom set she asked for (she's used mine)....got spa sets 1/2 off off that for the grand-daughters -- and 3 pair set of socks - Duck Dynasty - which they love....and a few skeins of yarn....Joann exclusive gingerbread house kits - which we made today and had a ball doing -- used my 25% off everything coupon on all of it. Everyone at my store seemed to be in a good mood and the line moved really quickly....So a happy experience. Going back tomorrow to snoop out what's happening.
