Well, I'm done for the night. I finished a second prayer shawl. I had planned to self-bind but didn't leave enough backing in one place so had to make a binding for it. The other two quilts are ready to be sandwiched but need a trip to Joanns or someplace because I don't have backing that will work.
See you in the morning!

A prayer shawl is a smaller quilt or afghan to drape around your shoulders or across the lap. I usually make them 40 x 50 or 60 inches. Most of our church's prayer shawls are crocheted or knitted but since I don't do either of those, I make quilts.

I'm looking forward to joining everyone tomorrow afternoon. I hope to get lots of sewing time through Monday but I do need to get some cleaning and bookwork done. Uggggh!
Goals: do Mystery Train clue for the week, sew 2 tote bags, and sandwich, quilt, bind a baby quilt.

I have a string quilt basted and partially quilted. I am very unhappy with the look of the quilting and after all the man-handling two seams have come adrift...the plan is to invisibly repair and get ripping, pull myself together and get it done to a better standard. Can't wait to get to the binding stage on this one.
Love all the pics you have posted....very inspiring.
