I bet he was just jealous because noone loves him enough to make him a quilt! It is beautiful and it's just too bad there was no other quilters there! -but at least he would have been in the right place!

It's the heart that's given to a quilt not the quality or age of the fabric that make it special. Your quilt was made with a great deal of heart and it's to bad he did not take the time to appreciate it.

I also think that old age doesnt make you crabby, you get old because your so crabby.

Your quilt is beautiful and anyone would be honored to receive something as beautiful, made with such love and care as this quilt has been made.

do not mind him. he does not know how much love you've put into making your quilt. too bad he missed it. your quilt is lovely. maybe no one had given him anything even one from old materials.

I agree with this. If the women a hundred or so years ago could come by new fabric easily they would probably have used new too.
