Too old? My dear friend is 65, had her mammogram and then an MRI, and is now scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy in a couple of weeks!

I love it when they tell you to hold your breath,
i started holding mine when they compressed, better to tell me don't pass out from holding your breath

Done two weeks ago and all clear for 12 months. Yippee, I have a bad family history and every clean year is a blessing.

What a co-inky-dink. I just had mine yeaterday. I have no insurance, and the hosp where I go has a foundation that pays for them for women who are uninsured or underinsured. My Mom had breast cancer, so I am afraid NOT to have one every year. Only takes a few minutes, and not nearly as uncomfortable as in the past.

I'm going on Friday. Had breast cancer in 2009 which was found by my routine mammogram. Luckily it was stage 0 non-invasive. I did have to have my breast removed and radiation but not chemo. My mom died of breast cancer 10 years ago so I am a firm believer in mammograms. Everyone Should Go Get One Every Year.

Do a search on Free Mammograms in your area. Most hospitals offer them free for those who cannot pay.

I always schedule mine around my birthday - that way I won't forget.

I get mine at 8:40 a.m. tomorrow. Has anyone ever clicked on the site"thebreastcancersite.com". There are quite a few charities there that you can click on besides breast cancer - and it's free. On the breast cancer one, the advertisers pay a penny for each click, and the money goes toward giving free mammograms to women who cannot afford them.
