I was complaining to DH that I felt unwelcome at the local quilting guild and he said, "Don't you have an online quilting guild you are always talking about?"
I realized all of you ARE my quilting guild. This is just a note of appreciation for the compassionate ear, the marvelous pattern ideas, the wonderful show-and-tell, and the opportunity to share my opinions and advice that is this board. Thank you!!

i totally agree--this is the only guild meeting i can attend in my granny gown, with grand babies with me, every day. you guys don't care if they cry, or if they need changing--you are all so polite that you wait for me to come back, and resume the "conversation" then. i don't miss a single word you "say". and you repeat yourselves as often as i need you to, with no eye-rolling or sighing. this board is the best guild, ever.
and wasn't there a "guild" card rolling around for a while, that we could print off and carry? i most likely didn't get us any privileges, as i remember, but it made us a part of a larger "thing"...
found it: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...e-t3258-2.html (you'll have to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the attachment--but it's there!)

I'm with you gramma nancy. Although most of us will never ever meet, I feel as if this group of women (and men) are my quilt guild. They are my eyes and ears, my teachers, my researchers, my advisers. And lets not forget that you will not find a kinder group pf people anywhere!

Hear, hear!! I totally agree with you all. This board is my favorite place in cyber land to visit. I have had so many positive, generous and creative persons befriend me on this board, I feel like this is my cyber home away from home. I have laughed, cried, prayed and shared so much with the girls over the years.
I have learned some very important quilting skills and tips, it is invaluable in every way to me. So, Thank you all for making this place a cyber quilting guild for me too. No tea room or guild could even come close.
