i have used hot iron cleaner successfully before. some in another thread suggested that used (or unused) dryer sheets work or using vinegar & water works. for future use a pressing cloth to prevent the gunked iron. you can use a piece of muslin for your pressing cloth.

Thanks for the iron cleaning suggestions - I'll give it a whirl when I get home; after this I guess I'll dig my pressing mat out of the "Take along to class" box of stuff and start using it for at home.

Stretch your imagination - what would our FQ bandit look like?
Oh wow Dabbler, I would have loved that retreat. I agree with PokerDiva "Johnny Depp" can Rob our mystery train any time. I would even give up my Precious Paisley fabric to him just to be so close. Haha.. what a fantasy

Sheri Im not sure Sunliten's stash would fit in a steamer trunk. Rumor has it we are pulling an extra car just to haul it along. I don't know if I could relax on a cruise after six years in the Navy I would always be on watch while we are at sea. That's the reason I have never gone on a civilian cruise line. I would be expecting that at any moment someone would toss "Charlie" overboard and we would be running a drill to save him. Luckily the entire time I was in we never lost anyone overboard so we only had to go out and retrieve the Dummy Charlie.

Seems to me I've seen a cruise ship with quilts painted on it. I think I saw it in Cozumel this past January.

That Jenniky is a stitch! Come on Jenniky, just stitch those suckers together. They'll be all right and you can go on to other things.

i have been copying down the instructions planning on doing this quilt. but haven't even finished step #1--where has the time gone? Guess i've been doing so many other projects that i put this one on back burner and forgot about it. Oh will get busy and try to catch up quickly. will have the son make us some slutty brownies to keep our energy level up.

    Default My Step 4

My Lovey just finished making french toast with sausage links and is bringing them to the dining car for anyone that's looking for a late night breakfast meal (he makes delicious french toast). In the mean time here is a copy of my step 4 - finally got my iron cleaned off so I could get the block pressed.
