I saw a couple of the "Three Bears" quilts that have been shown here on the board. Those were baby quilts. My daughter, who is going to be 11, saw those quilts as well. We went searching online and only found the pattern in the baby quilt size. I tried to talk her into a different pattern, but she begged and pleaded so I gave in and decided that I would figure out the pattern and give it ago. Only her version is the one called, "Furry Friends." It will have a kitties and puppies and possibly a bunny under the covers rather than three bears. So, anyway, because I don't have a pattern to guide me I am working along trying to make it work. I think I have it figured out except for one thing. My daughter has a full size bed. I was looking at her other blankets and thought that maybe the sides should at least hang over a bit. And if I make it so that it hangs over a bit, should I make the bottom also hang over a bit...kind of like a comforter would fit or would it look kind of odd if I just leave the two sizes to hang over? She won't be using this as her predominant bed cover as her bedroom is designed in Teddy Bears. Go figure that she didn't want the "Three Bears". It will mostly be a second cover that she can use when it is cold and snowy or when she goes over to her friend's houses for a sleep over. Any ideas you have as far as size and fit would certainly be most welcome. Thanks.

I will try to post a picture of my current project.

This is the example we saw online that gave me the idea for my current project.

This is the 9 patch squares pattern that I am working with. The blue strip will represent the sheet folded back and the paw print is the sheet part where the animals will be.

I can't help you with the measurements but your quilt is going to be sooooo cute. I hope you post it when it is completed.

I think I would try to make it twin size, then she will be able to use it for a long time.

I'm not too sure about sizes...but if your daughter is only using it as a secondary cover and she needs it for sleepovers, best maybe not to make it too big as it will be difficult to carry. Anyway...I'm sure others will be able to give you better advice. By the way, your fabrics are really beautiful, please post and let us see how this comes along. Happy quilting.
