I have degenerative Disc disease too so I either cut at this 3 1/2 ft. table I have or I set up two or more of my 8- 4 ft. adjustable tables. Works great.

I bought my cutting table at a moving sale. It is very similar to the one they now sell at Joann's. It is just the right height for me but I'm short (5'3"). I like the fact that I can fold it down when I'm not cutting since my sewing room is so crowded.

I lucked out and found a drafting table at yard sale. It raise up and also pivots. Its just the right height for my husband who cuts all my pieces. I think I gave $5.00 for it.

I use my breakfast room table which is a slab of granite 54x102. It is our gathering table but is an awesome place to work on quilts. Love cutting fabric on it as there is no drag and no worries about scratching!

I purchased one of the those tables from Joann's and have been truly satisfied with it. I leave it up most of the time in my sewing room. I have folded it up when I needed the extra space. I don't know what I ever did without it.

I use the back table on my quilting machine. It's 14 ft long and I bought the cutting mat to fit it. The table is adjustable.

I have the folding craft table, as for the ends when they are up I have put table leggs under all four corners with a rubbery end so they won't slip. When not it use the leggs can be removed. One could have 4 dowels the height you want.
