When I have scraps, and I mean scraps, the scraps that you cut off the ends of yardage to even out (about 1" and smaller or the dog ears that you cut off) and bag them for a group I belong to that "Sews for Others". We use them to stuff " Drafters Dodgers " (keeps the cold out when placed in front of the outside doors to keep the cold out in the winter.

Thanks for the ideas for using the itty bitty scraps.

For my 1"+ scraps, here's a crumb quilt I made: http://debzpicaday.blogspot.com/2011...07-of-365.html

This is a great idea. I just boxed up my scraps yesterday and could not decide what to do with them. I was going to strip them but now I will save what I can for blocks. Thanks

I hate to throw away fabric I put it in a bin cut up into square strips or whatever and use the smaller pieces for mile a min or crumb quilts. But I was getting so many little pieces I just can't keep everything any more so I donate the pieces to my daughter in law for her school children the use them for projects. I've even gave them larger pieces if they need it for a project (they were making jam and needed material for the lids to decorate them). I give fabric to my friends if they need it they come in my stash before going shopping...They give me fabric too...

Great ideas here for all kinds of scraps. I keep even the tiniest bit in a pillowcase for animal pillows. Right now I have two pillowcases full so can make some nice and large pillows. Keep the ideas coming.

I always wondered about that......

What great ideas! So far, I am just collecting scraps in a tote without an idea of what to do with them. Now I have some ideas. Thanks.
