Just to let you know how work is progressing. SLOW. I got all the diamonds sewed together to make rest of stars. Had to make 3 from complete scratch to come up with the 35 I think I need. Then cut 60 diamonds out of red and 60 out of yellow. Didn't have enough of each color to cut all from. Now trying to sew solid diamonds on each corner of star. Takes 6 each. To get them in its a y seam without getting the star point seams in that stitching. I tried by hand and after a couple I know why I gave up hand piecing. Got to pay the price now with the artritus thumbs. Anyhow had to really search my statches for the small prints so it would blend. Will mix those among all the others so they don't stand out like a sore thumb. Will keep you posted.

Thanks for the update and sorry about those sore fingers. It sounds like a real pain...but it will all be worth it in the end..what a treasure!
