Singer Futura 6000
Anyone have this machine, and any problems with it. It was on HSN this morning and having mixed emotions on it. I have looked at a lot of other machines, and wanted mostly for the embroidery, but to was looking at the price. I felt the price was good, with all the extras. Going to do mostly quilt labels, and lettering. And didn't need the top of line machine. Didn't want to spend thousands, not now.

I have had the Futura CE-200 for seven years, and have not had any problems with it...until now. It will stitch about 1/3 of the first letter of a design and then tangle up in the bobbin area....I did everything I could to it short of taking it to my OSMG....I DID talk to him about it and he suggested a house call by one of his associates. But...after years of pandering to it, I decided to buy another one...so this time I bought the Janome 350E. I GUESS it'll be okay if I EVER figure out how to transfer designs to the machine from my computer via the USB stick. I spent time with the OSMG last Thursday, and I must be harder to teach than I thought, 'cause I still don't have it.... So good luck!

If it is the SEQS 6000 DO NOT BUY IT! Terrible machine. I spent 2 days trying to get my sister's to work. I have yet to come across a machine I can't sew with and figure out - until this one. Don't do it. I don't have anything against Singer or the parent company - this is just a bad machine. Period.

Personally, I would not buy a newer Singer machine.
