Default Yard sale find and question about some fabrics.

I purchased a large plastic garbage bag full of fabric and scraps this weekend at a yard sale for $8.00. There was one length of 6 yds that I will use for a quilt backing. Lots of small pieces about the size of fat quarters of calico and solids. Then there were several pieces of prequilted fabric some in larger pieces and some in small pieces. I have sorted through all of it and decided what to keep and what to find new homes for except for the prequilted pieces. I have no idea what I would use them for but there is enough of it here that I hate to just get rid of it. I have thought of keeping it and using it for backing and batting for things like wall hangings as none of it is big enough to use as a quilt backing. Any suggestions as to what you have used prequilted fabric for would be most appreciated. It will help me to decide to keep or dispose of. Thanks, Ann in TN

There are totes you can make with that....I am assuming it is fabric on both sides. You can also just bind it and make a quilt with it as is...doll quilt..dog blanket...donations.

Put a pretty fabric on top, practice your FMQ designs and slap on a binding and bingo, a nice placemat. Make a nice casserole carrier. Use it to make Christmas stockings. Anywhere you would use quilt batt, you can substitute the pre-quilted fabric.

All the little projects that come up on the QB can be done with prequilted fabric. I am thinking about the little thread catchers, etc....even purses and various bags.

I made a few holders for wheel chairs. Sew 2 pieces together, and 2 to go over the wheel chair handle. People like them to carry stuff. I cut it like a ping-pong bat, the handle a little larger. Just used my head.LOL Well, maybe my hands.

I bought some pre-quilted green on clearance years ago to embroidery (on my machine) for Christmas stockings.

How about mug rugs. You could put binding around the blocks, and if they are plain, perhaps you could do a small applique on them.

You can also make totes for curling irons or flat irons. My DLs love these and so do I. Looking forward to seeing what you make with it.
