We have a craft shop not to far from here and I can take a grocery bag and fill it up for $5.00. I manage to do that at least once a month. We certainly do our fair share of recycling, eh? Edie

Pre-quilted fabric makes lovely strong bags and totes, stuff sacks for camping and holding sleeping bags, wine bags, cosmetic bags and any other bag you can think of. It also makes a quick quilt- just bind it and use it in the car, let the kids drag it to camp or on a sleep out and you won't even mind if the dog sleeps on it too.

I inherited a bunch of these as scraps. Used them for the insides of the blocks for rag quilts. No matching and didn't need big pieces. Could butt some of the pieces together and zigzag to utilize even the smallest of the scraps.

I am simply in awe of you ladies and your wonderful suggestions. When I first read Lea's post, I thought: "Yea, just throw that stuff away." But after reading all these ideas....Lea, you have a treasure trove there!

I made "dresses"/SM covers for my sewing machines that didn't have covers. have also made oven mitts and purses, diaper bags and totes, using prequilted fabric.
