Ladies, how would you quilt this? I need some suggestions. The dark blue is supposed to be the water. I thought about putting waves there but other than that I am stuck. I don't want to SITD this time.

Waves for the water and a meander around the sailboats for the sky to make it look like clouds. Love your quilt. There's a sailboat quilt in my To Do list.

Agreed. Plus SITD around the boats themselves

Cute top! I think the sail boat with the black sails needs a little Jolly Rogers pirate flag. For quilting, waves in the water and SITD around the boats and sails first. I would then put a few lines in the blue sky as if the wind is blowing.

This is so cute. I want to do one of those for a baby quilt sometime. List is getting longer and longer!
I agree with everyone else about the quilting.

Yes! Or just quilt a little glow in the dark skull and crossbones into one of the sails!

Very nice quilt and good suggestions.
