Weird Question About Potty Paper

Weird Question About Potty Paper
You ladies seem to know everything about everything, so I shall ask you. For a friend, I am searching for Very thick, soft potty paper. I have looked at Charmin and all the regular "ultra soft" products at Walmart and similar stores and cannot find anything above average. I have Googled, but that seems to take me to standard brands. Does anyone know of a source for what I am sure would be something else too expensive just to be thrown away? Thanks!

Of the ones we have tried, Cottonelle was the softest. Have never seen Cashmere. We found Cottonelle significantly softer than Quilted Northern, and Quilted Northern significantly softer than Charmin.

My husband tried to convince me that a one ply environmental toilet tissue was to way to go. I told him "what is the point when you have to use twice as much?" Same thing with the low water toilet. If you have to flush several times, it uses more water than a high water toilet. Men, they are so silly sometimes!

DH likes Northern's triple-layer toilet paper. I haven't seen it in local stores, but I got a good deal on Amazon a couple of years ago, and bought a case of it. Personally, I don't like it. It's TOO thick for my tastes, seems linty to me, and stops up our toilets easily. But if cushy is what you want, it definitely qualifies. It feels as soft and thick as velvet.
I prefer Great Value's version of Scott 1000. It's much cheaper, last forever, isn't linty, and doesn't stop up the toilet.
