Brown is not one of my favorite colors but I seem to be making more quilts and clothing with brown in them. By adding a focal color with it, it becomes a whole different color scheme. Right now I'm working on a brown, blue and beige quilt for a couple. Thought about adding a focal color for pop but once I decided on the pattern I'd use, I didn't need it. As its a scrappy quilt, all the various shades and patterns on the fabrics makes it busy enough.

Love your quilts, very interested in the pattern for the #2 quilt. Looks like a pineapple block and I see a logcabin block plus whatever the center block is.

I like brown just not as all the colors, but it i very nice as a compliment, I think brown is just overdone in most homes there is little color, brown couches, walls, floors, it just becomes very drab to me. however your quilts are very lovely

I guess people tend to think of brown as being a rather dull colour, but your quilts are absolutely beautiful and just shows what can be achieved with various brown coloured fabrics.

To each her own taste. I happen to like autumn colors. But what I really like is how quilters jumble up all the colors and come up with something stunningly beautiful. When that happens like in the quilts above, what a joy. Remember years ago when YELLOW was a no-no color and all the warnings about choosing a shade of yellow? Well, look at them now! You go, girl!
