Default OCTOBER - Scrappy Block Swap – SIMPLY WOVEN by Jessica Kelly

OCTOBER - Scrappy Block Swap – SIMPLY WOVEN by Jessica Kelly presented by MODA BAKE SHOP

Welcome to our swap! The main focus, as the name suggests, is scrappy blocks hopefully from our stash. There are a bazillion scrappy quilt block ideas available. I know! I counted them! Ha! We will be using wonderful inspiration from the likes of Bonnie Hunter, Quilters Cache, Moda Bake Shop and many others. Each month I will present a pattern with a theme or color scheme and instructions.

This month we are making the SIMPLY WOVEN quilt block and it will be a 12 ฝ” unfinished block. Please go to:

http://www.modabakeshop.com/2012/10/...ven-quilt.html for instructions.

The color scheme for our block is BLACK & WHITE or WHITE & BLACK print and ONE RED STRIP on a white background. The red strip can do either direction any place in the block. These are going to be awesome!!

One set = 4 blocks. You may send as many as 6 sets. Your quilt blocks DO NOT have to be the same! In fact, more variety makes for a much better swap. Please use 100% cotton, quilt shop quality fabric to make your quilt blocks. Please pay attention to the back of your quilt blocks; pressing, snipping extra threads, etc. Be sure your quilt blocks are squared up, trimmed and even.
Please PM me to sign up. Please provide:

• QB screen name
• Real name
• Number of sets you are making/sending
• Email address

After I have received all of your information I will add you to the list of swappers. When you’re ready to mail your quilt blocks, please PM me and I will send you mailing information. BE SURE to include the USPS envelope WITH POSTAGE, filled out with your mailing information, in your package to me. Set(s) of quilt blocks will be due by NOVEMBER 30TH.
** Please label each quilt block**

Mailing: please put all blocks in one large plastic baggie along with your name and address on/in the bag. This will help protect your blocks in case your package is damaged. Please use a USPS Priority Mailฎ Padded Flat Rate Envelope (9 ฝ” x 12 ฝ”), buy $5.95 in POSTAGE, put postage on your return envelope and fill out your name/address etc. This will be your return envelope so be sure to put this in your package as well!

Basic swap rules may be found here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm

'The red strip can do either direction. . . ' should read, 'The red strip can GO either direction. . . '

Geesh - - - -

Love the block Jane, I'll go thru my stash to see if I have enough. I always love trying to do the max, so I can get a true scrappy quilt.

I'm working on them. Thought I had a bunch of black and whites but had to repeat a few of them here and there. Will have to go buy more for the variety. Here's 4 sets so far
