Default Boy Scout Honor--pattern

I am trying to find a pattern for a quilt for our grandson as he reaches his Scouting Award--The Eagle. It needs to not be complicated, and I am not in a great big hurry.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Some of the Quilts of Valor patterns have eagles. Have you checked those. Congratulations to your grandson. Very few earn that award.

Lots of fabric with eagles on it. Just Google! Etsy has a large assortment of eagle fabric.

I thought I saw some eagle scout fabric recently, but can't find it again... here's some others that may work:

If you are going to quilt it on a long-arm, there are some wonderful (free) eagle and patriotic quilting designs available.

My avatar is the quilt I made my Grandson when he achieved his Eagle Rank. The Eagle is appliqued. I used the boy scout fabrics which were available then. My next oldest grandson is close to his Eagle now and I can't find boy scout fabrics anywhere! Not sure what I am going to do either but will probably applique another eagle or use some of the eagle fabrics I see now.

Any possibility of taking his patches earned over the years, putting them in blocks, bordering them, then sewing them together into a quilt with fabric from his boy scout uniforms as fabric?

Good idea about the patches! You could take pictures of the badges and include them in the quilt...along with a picture of him in his uniform. There are some nice scout quilts here: http://www.pieceandquilt.com/2010/10...t-display.html -- and you can find more at google images.

Some of the boy scout stores had the fabric on the bolt. I was at the one in Wilmington, DE but it may have been back in 2010 or so. I will have to search soon, too, because my grandson, 13 is just 3 patches away. I told him to pick out something and I will make him a quilt but he just looked at me. Maybe later near the right time.

I have made scout tee shirts into quilts using the Boy Scout print fabric and then added some scout patches. You can also add an Eagle either by applique or embroidery. It is a honor to become and Eagle scout. Two of my boys got theirs.
