Default Latest quilt top finished

This is my latest quilt top pieced and I hope to start quilting it this coming week. It will be my first big quilt on my "new" Bernina 710 and am really looking forward to seeing how the journey goes!! The quilt measures 96inches x 96 inches and I am planning to quilt in straight diagonals following the bissecting seam of the HST's. Binding will be in the same dark marbled brown. This will be for my bed and I wanted to create an earthy, calm effect and hope I will achieve that with my colours, simple pattern and quilting lines. Any other ideas perhaps?

I really like your quilt, first off I am a lover of 2 tones, plus I just finished a chevron sort... with a splash of red. Thanks for sharing with us.

Your piecing looks perfect! I'd love to see a post when you have it quilted. When you say "new" machine, is it new to you?

It depends on your skills. I would just ditch the quilt to accent the piecing.

It's a beautiful quilt! I love the square in the middle--very clever surprise!

I love this! The colors are calm and soothing. Perfect for a bedroom. However you decide to quilt it will be stunning!

Great big quilt! That's a good size to quilt even using your walking foot. Make sure you reverse directions every other row so the quilt doesn't stretch on the bias.
